John S. Rankin has joined The Gallagher Law Firm as a certified IRS Enrolled Agent.  John will provide taxpayer representation to our clients in tax collection matters and can practice before the IRS in any representational capacity in the United States.  He served a successful 38-year career with the Internal Revenue Service, working in positions such as a Revenue Officer, Collection Group Manager and a Field Officer in Compromise Specialist.  John was involved in all phases of Field Revenue Officer training, including advanced classes dealing with complex lien law, transferee assessments and offers in compromise.
