GLF Attorney Assists with Cooley Law Speed Networking Event

On October 18, 2012, GLF attorney Kate (Fetkenhier) Barnaby participated in a Speed Jet Networking Event at Thomas M. Cooley Law School. As a Cooley alumna, Ms. Barnaby was excited to give back and foster enthusiasm in the legal profession with new law students.

The event was intended to bring together lawyers and students so students would have an opportunity to meet legal professionals and practice their networking skills. For the first hour of the event, thirty six students got to interact with the professionals one-on-one in a speed-networking format, where the students had the opportunity to network with each attorney for about five minutes. Afterward, a one-hour reception followed where students had the opportunity to network with the attorneys over refreshments.

For many of these students, this was their first opportunity to network with an attorney or a judge. Ms. Barnaby enjoyed the event and was glad to meet so many excited students!
